If we can seed it, we can weed it
The original scope of the robot was to seed and weed sugar beets. However, since it was developed, we have been working together with farmers and used the robot for various crops. Today it can handle many crops. We continually test and add new seeds to the robot’s sowing system.

What can the robot handle?
Currently the robot has taken care of the following crops with success:
- Vegetables
- Sugar beet
- Fodder beets
- Red beets / beetroots
- Spinach
- Salad
- Onions
- Rapeseed
- Cabbage
- Kale
- Cauliflower
- Broccoli
- Turnip
- Herbs
- Parsley
- Cilantro
- Flower seeds
We are constantly testing new seeds in collaboration with our customers and distributors, expanding the capability of the robot.
Here’s a selection of crops the FarmDroid FD20 has handled

seed Test lab
We receive many requests from our customers to test different seeds and see if they can be used in the robot’s unique sowing system.
For this reason, we have developed our own seed test lab. We receive the seed conditions for our customers. Then we test different seed specifications, such as if it should be seeded in portions, lines, or singles, the result of this affect parameters like seeds per groups, group distance, row distance and so forth.
The results from our test lab have so far shown good results with the following crops:
-
- Lovage
-
- Dill
-
- Yellow mustard
-
- Brown mustard
-
- Chicory
-
- Chinese cabbage
-
- Anise
-
- Hemp
-
- Chives
-
- Lettuce
-
- Carrots
